Disney parks gallery wAll

Who doesn’t love having a little bit of the parks brought into your home to fawn over between trips? In this case, we brought A LOT of the parks into our home!

We decided to add a Disney parks inspired gallery wall to the wall adjacent to our Spaceship Earth mural. We didn’t want just any gallery though-we wanted a floor to ceiling gallery-more room to hold all of our precious pictures plus artwork from some amazing small shops!

First up, I wanted to talk about my photography that is included in the gallery. Over the years, I’ve taken many special photo shoots of our children that are Disney themed and inspired. One of my favorite series I was able to shoot was our monthly flat-lay photos of our youngest baby’s first year of life! You’ll see several of those and other themed flat lays in this gallery feature. Flat lays are my absolute favorite for creative photoshoots with kids!

We also included tons of parks photos of the kids in costume or with cast members-our obvious love ❤️ I chose bright, colorful photos to showcase. I knew these would blend perfectly with the bright quotes and artwork I wanted to display as well!

I wanted to make sure to have a cohesive look when it came to framing everything in the gallery. So, I chose white frames in various shapes and sizes-mainly to achieve a clean and polished look. I also didn’t want to take away from the photos and art itself!

I’ve had a lot of people ask me where we got the frames for everything in our gallery. The photography pieces were printed and framed at the same time by Smallwoods! Their framing service is very reasonably priced, and are so lightweight and easy to hang. I just love this company for creating a gallery on a dime. Here is an example of some of the square framed prints from Smallwoods, as well as a larger rectangle frame:

Smallwoods also has a mapmaking print option! It is so fun to create. Below, you’ll see the map I created of Epcot-I think it is so beautiful! On the site, you simply enter your address, choose the crop and zoom, style, and frame type.

See for yourself how affordable their printing and framing options are! Visit www.smallwoodhome.com.

Next up-art prints!

Before I mention any shops or features, I will go ahead and mention where I have always gotten my art and photography printed: MPix! I’ve used them and loved them for years: www.mpix.com.

First I’ll just include three prints I created myself:

A nod to Happily Ever After

A quote from “Promise” and a tribute to Illuminations, and a little nod to the Millennium Falcon costumes in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge

I knew I wanted some artwork and quotes from park songs and shows! So, my choices reflected that decision-plus, I needed color and fun!

Here is a list of all the small shops I purchased anything I didn’t create, followed by pictures of the gallery and some of the individual prints:

If any of these purchases were digital files only, I did print from Mpix like I said before. If any of the white frames were not printed by Smallwoods, they were purchased from Amazon.

All in all, I had to make sure our gallery was filled with our favorite things! Small World, Epcot, Mickey waffles, Tomorrowland…while combining it with our personal photos and memories.

When creating your gallery, I recommend starting with Etsy and RedBubble when looking for art. There are some amazing small shops out there to support! Make sure you choose things that remind you of special times in the parks, and your gallery will be sure to bring you some magic at home!
